Finish:
These prefinished boards are distressed, wire
brushed and stained by hand, then put through a
high-tech finishing process where the boards are
sealed, coated and dried using UV light, then
sanded back to increasingly finer levels and re
finished. This process is completed seven times
producing a low sheen, extremely hard-wearing
surface which is highly scratch resistant and
requires minimal maintenance.
Size: This
finish is supplied in 180mm wide and are fixed
in length at 720mm long. This allows for a
parquetry application e.g. herringbone, ladder,
square patterns or other geometric layouts
limited only by your imagination. The boards are
supplied in 2200mm long boxes suitable for
carrying by hand as needed.
Composition:
This is a 20mm thick solid plank of French Oak.
Solid wood flooring has been the traditional
choice for centuries. It offers the true and
authentic qualities of an original European
floor. Our French oak floors have been carefully
selected to have an interesting grain structure,
typical of a traditional oak floor, featuring
knots and rays, ensuring a result that gives
warmth and character and true beauty to any
room. French oak is typically more consistent in
colour compared to most Australian hardwoods and
is characterised by a consistent warm cream
tone.
