Hundreds of year old French Oak Parquetry is salvaged from old villas and mansions whilst old French Oak wine barrels are dismantled, re-milled and hand cut into our unique “Versailles” Basketweave flooring panels and block parquetry.

Parquetry Panels

Panels are parquetry floors supplied in pre-assembled squares in prearranged patterns. These squares may come in sizes from 400mm x 400mm up to 1200mm x 1200mm. Our standard sizes are 600mm and 900mm square. Pre-assembled panels provide the advantage that most of the detailed hand cutting and block placement is already done. For this reason Panels can be more expensive than block parquetry, however more intricate patterns can be achieved with a significant lower installation cost. Prices are quoted per square metre. Supplied raw. For example Versailles was a pattern made popular by Louise WV from Versailles Palace seen in many buildings around the world.    Utilizing both new or antique timbers, Salvage can create custom panels, patterns or colours unique to your project. Blocks

Parquetry Blocks are individual pieces of parquetry in various sizes. For example 600m x 90mm x 14mm. Blocks may be made from new French oak or antique parquetry lifted from homes around the world. Antique parquetry made be supplied with its original patina or remilled to a clean finish for a more polished look whilst still maintaining the beneficial characteristics of an aged wood. Prices are quoted per square metre.
