Natural French Oak is just that ...Natural. It
is supplied raw and can be finished in a variety
of custom colours and finishing techniques
limited only by your imagination from low sheen,
matt through to high gloss and anything in
between.
A NATURAL OIL FINISH IS
A MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FINISHING OPTION
CONTAINING NO URETHANE OR POLYMERS
For a natural oil finish,
2-3 coats are applied at initial installation.
The floor can then be re-oiled as necessary to
guarantee an on-going natural sheen. Whilst the
original oil alone is an effective finish, your
French oak floor can be waxed and buffed to
further enhance its patina. This may require
more maintenance effort but the patina created
is an unrivalled quality finish.
Size:
product is available in 180mm and 220mm wide.
The boards are supplied in 2200mm long boxes
suitable for carrying by hand as needed. Note:
the average board length is 1200mm, minimum
600mm. The boards are cut to European standard
lengths.

Composition:
This is a 20mm thick solid plank of French Oak.
Solid wood flooring has been the traditional
choice for centuries. It offers the true and
authentic qualities of an original European
floor. Our French oak floors have been carefully
selected to have an interesting grain structure,
typical of a traditional oak floor, featuring
knots and rays, ensuring a result that gives
warmth and character and true beauty to any
room. French oak is typically more consistent in
colour compared to most Australian hardwoods and
is characterised by a consistent warm cream
tone.
