Salvage
supplied, Recycled Ironbark was used for the
structural columns, verandas and decking, Spotted Gum was used for the
external cladding, Recycled Karri, Jarrah, Ironbark and Spotted Gum was used for the
internal flooring, windows, door, bathroom joinery and
bench tops and
Pine Boards were used for the ceiling lining, and Recycled Oregon
was used for the rafter beams. Also used were Reclaimed
Honed Bluestone and Cobblestone. Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat Main Spa
has won the 2010 Australian Timber Design Award
for Best use of
Recycled Timber Award and
Best Use of Timber
as a Structural Element Award!
